Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents, both a dental dentist and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for theater and drama at a young stage. This support was enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a an animal scientist. At the age of a young lady rising to the heights of fame was rapid and marked with early successes. When she finished her education and acting, she appeared on the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her career as an actress. Tautou was raised in an Catholic family and attended religious services, despite having attended school within The Institut Catholique de Paris. Alongside her acting work, she was also interested in modeling. The model was for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Her photography is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on fame and celebrity and focuses the camera on those who scrutinized her following her sudden rise in fame and fortune in the film Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her first role in Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie achieved international success in the field of box office, and was awarded awards across the globe. It's the most-grossing French film to be released in the United States. The film's success has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, including British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
