Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is most well-known for her leading roles in numerous television shows, but also her impressive performances in films. She has a large following on American and Canadian TV. Emily became interested in the performing arts when she was in her 12th grade. When she was 12, Emily visited her elder sister Katie in the film studio. When she realized her love in the world of acting Emily decided to enroll in acting classes and began auditioning. After some commercials, which were successful, she was soon cast in the Canadian children's horror television series Are You afraid of the Dark? In one single scene she was not even speaking a word. Her first break came at 15 years old when she got a role on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's acting talent attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti when the series was cancelled after only nine episodes. The show's creator cast Emily as a character on Everwood which is his upcoming TV show. Emily, who is also a photographer and ballerina was recognized by Teen magazine as one the best actresses younger than 20. Emily was listed as at number 51 on the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
